Our first ever 50/50 Cash Raffle in support of Corporal Jamie Brendan Murphy Community Park, school equipment and resources is drawing to a close. Tomorrow is ‘Take a Hike Day,’ Tuesday is ‘Rainy Day Fun Day’ and Wednesday is ‘Fun in the Sun Day.’ Dismissal will take place with buses leaving the school at 12:30 PM. Thursday, June 21st is the last day of school for students. If the weather cooperates we hope to enjoy the sunshine and eat outside. It promises to be a great day with the School Council providing lunch for everyone. Wednesday is also the back-up day for our Grade 4, 5 and 6 Field Days. Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we continue to support a process of truth and reconciliation. Wednesday, June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Our first ever 50/50 Cash Raffle has ended with the draw set for Tuesday, June 20th. In addition, our Grade 4 students have their Fun Day day on site, our Grade 5 classes are off to the Carbonear Swimming Pool and Grade 6 students take their school-leaving trip to Sty. On Monday, June 19th we welcome our Breakfast Program and School Council volunteers for brunch starting at 10:00 AM in the cafeteria. Please follow the Provincial School Food Guidelines when providing snacks and packing lunches and remember that take-out from fast food establishments is not permitted in school. We have Breakfast Program items available daily including white milk. Monday, June 19th is Day 6 on the Instructional Cycle.Īs you are aware, Rainbow Food Services is closed for the school year. In the meantime, we have some important information for the busy days ahead. We have just a few more days to go and 4 more sleeps till the holidays begin. We are into the last few days of school and the excitement of summer vacation rests well on the beautiful faces and in the excited voices of our wonderful students. Happy Father’s Day to all of our families who hold dear fathers, father figures, fatherhood and those who support the influence of fathers in society. We will sing some songs, hand out awards and acknowledge the Grade 6 students who are leaving us. Our closing assembly will take place in the school gymnasium at 11:00 AM.
